Munshi Premchand

Munshi Premchand (1880–1936), born as Dhanpat Rai Srivastava, was one of India's greatest writers and is widely regarded as the "Upanyas Samrat" (Emperor of Novels). Writing in both Hindi and Urdu, he is celebrated for his realistic portrayal of rural India, social justice, and human values. His most renowned works include Godan, Gaban, Nirmala, Rangbhoomi, and Karmabhoomi, making him one of the most influential figures in Indian literature.
